No. Blow the water out. Trust me on this. The only thing the foam can do is buy you a little buffer time if the temperature outside drops below freezing overnight for a few hours before warming above freezing again in the morning. But if you live where the sun doesn't shine much in winter, and the outdoor temperature stays 10 degrees below freezing for a half-day or more, the foam isn't going to prevent the metal from eventually freezing.

There is a side spray stream that is adjustable and I pushed it all the way up. How do I bring it back down?

Very helpful for me right out of the gate by identifying the name/description of the two halves of the slip union. I need to replace the pvc supply and discharge lines for my sprinkler system backflow device because the male threads of each line are damaged and leaking. Each of the lines attach to the continuous portion going into the ground by slip union connectors. I had no idea what they were called and how to search for partial replacements until I saw this video. Even though the slip unions are not damaged, they are glued to the part that needs to be replaced. FYI - these are 16 years old and held up well. They allowed me to easily disconnect my $$$ Backflow device and move it into the house during the winter.

Compression fittings are very much reusable. Leave a longer tail, put it in hot water and pull it out. had it done countless times.

Do you know what to use around home foundation? Like a mister or which rainbird? I have them against house and think only have 1- 2 ft space in front until walkway. The ones I have now are older Mister types with small bronze nubby nozzle tip on top that screw onto standard risers. I can't find them anywhere but need something similiar. They spray out sideways mostly it seems but not in front. Don't want to get spray on house siding. But I don't know if those are better since sideways along foundation even if they spray on house some?

I can turn sprinklers on at the panel and all stations work normally. When I use the remote, which has a new battery and makes its normal beeping sounds, nothing happens. Any ideas?

It's so easy, now let me show you 5 different size fittings that are within 1/4" of each other. I really can't stand plumbing and all the different sizes and what it has become... cast, copper, PVC, pex... solder, crimp, o-ring, sharkbite... too complicated

I want to test one of these to replace an existing Hunter PGP rotor. Since the PGJ is 1/2" female and the PGP is 3/4" female, what adapter do I need. I can't seem to find a plastic one with a female 3/4 end and a male 1/2" end.
